Miss CCPRA is a young lady who will promote the sport of rodeo and the great western way of life. She has an attractive appearance, an outgoing personality and extensive knowledge of the equine and rodeo industries. She is.....
 

A young lady who will represent her hometown committee, the state of California and the California Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association.

A young lady whose life revolves around horses and rodeo and who eagerly accepts the responsibilities they entail.

A young lady who is sincere about her education and who will enthusiastically educate the public about rodeo.

A young lady who will speak intelligently and will display dignity, courtesy, poise, and high moral standards.

    
Contestant Eligibility

Each contestant in the Miss CCPRA Pageant shall:

         1)      Be between 18 - 24 years of age as of by the Pageant

         2)      Be a legal resident of California or a full time student attending college for a
          minimum of 1 year in California and can provide proof of enrollment.

         3)      Be single and never have been married or entered into a marriage contract that was
         annulled.

         4)       Not be nor have been pregnant.

         5)      Have executed all pre-contracts, waivers of liability and/or consents presented as
         conditions precedent to the pageant.

         6)      Abide by all rules and regulations of the Miss CCPRA Pageant.

        Any contestant not meeting the qualifications set forth above, shall be denied the
        right to compete in the Miss CCPRA Pageant.


Judging

Each contestant will be judged in the following categories: Speech, Interview, Horsemanship, Impromptu Questions, Modeling, Personality, Appearance and Photogenic with awards given for each category. A High Sponsor award will also be given to the contestant who raises the most pageant sponsor money.
 

Entry Requirements

If you are interested in competing in the Miss CCPRA Pageant you may print the application packet or have one mailed to you. Entries must be post marked by September 1st, 2010.

Each contestant must submit with the completed application packet:

         1)      A signed Release, Waiver, And Hold Harmless Agreement.

         2)      A signed Compliance Agreement.

         3)      A signed Miss CCPRA Statement of Acceptance.

         4)      A signed Chap and Crown Agreement.

         5)      An entry fee of $200.00 (NON-refundable). Please make checks payable to: Miss
         CCPRA Pageant.

         6)      A check for the stalling fee of $15 per horse per night made payable to the CCPRA.

         7)      One 8x10 color and two 5x7 black and white vertical head and shoulder photographs.
         The 8x10 will be used for judging Miss Photogenic and is suggested to use a plain
         background. You have the option to send in different poses for each photograph
         requested. Please no crowns or banners in any of the photographs. All photos become the
         property of the Miss CCPRA Pageant and will be used for promotional purposes only at
         the coordinators discretion.

         8)      Any and all sponsor money. Checks from sponsors should be made out to the Miss
         CCPRA Pageant.
Please put all sponsor money in a separate envelope from the entry fee
         and stalling fee.

         9)      A list of all sponsors that includes the name, the person to contact, the correct mailing
         address with city, state, zip code, phone number, sponsor level, business card (if
         applicable) and any other advertising information for the program.

        10)  A completed 3 x 5 index card for Grand Entry that is to include your name, age, town of
         residence, schooling, hobbies and/or activities.

Once your application is received, a contestant packet will be mailed to you.
